Lancashire County Council have announced the captioned road closure, next month from 8am. to 5pm. each day from Tuesday,2nd.April – Friday,12th.April, to enable LCC to undertake 40mm deep carriageway resurfacing works, including manhole covers, during  the school holiday period.

The Bus Service 78 will unfortunately  be affected and the recommended diversion route is Heyhouses Lane – Blackpool Road – Albany Road – Church Road, in both directions. No doubt local residents will find shorter diversions from their local knowledge, by useing minor roads in the district.
