Last week, together with children from Mayfield Primary School , the Headteacher,Mrs Suzanne Fish, members of the Local Police and staff from Fylde Borough’s Parks Dept., we planted 150 trees and 50 tulip bulbs to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, on Blackpool Road Playing Fields. The trees had been donated by the Woodland Trust to the Friends of Kilnhouse and I provided the bulbs. Cold icy weather had delayed the planting but I hope that everyone will be able to enjoy the fruits of our labour in the Spring.
